“Hayden, We LOVE the photos you took for us. They’re just perfect. Loads of natural shots, loads of people laughing. Brilliant! Thank you very much for everything you did to make the photo bit fun. I want to do it all again. We’re just in the process of deciding which ones to choose for our book so we’ll be back in touch when we’ve decided. Needless to say my mum loves them too!” – Scott & Liz

I just came across this image from a wedding I shot last year.I love that the groom got carried away with the moment and spray painted their initials on the side of an old boathouse. The bride didn’t know until we arrived  to shoot their portraits. As we came down to the beach and saw the boathouse, the huge smile on her face said it all.

At the time, the groom and his best man were unaware that the boathouse (apparently revered as a historic building) was the subject of a petition from the locals to save it from being pulled down. Upon hearing this they embarked on an early morning stealth mission to clean it off without being spotted by both the police and the irate locals. They were successful and love triumphed once again!

It’s stories like this that make me love my job.
